Green Belt Re-designation Consultation
Following the recent consultation request regarding the status of the green belt around where we live we have engaged with Campaign to Protect Rural England and a copy of their email and formal response to Sutton council over the proposals to potentially redefine areas of green belt to allow development.

Community Safety Day for Older People (Wed 16th Mar)
We’ve been advised by Alex Catterall of the Carshalton South and Clockhouse Neighbourhood Policing Team that they are running a Community Safety Day for Older People.
There are 39 organisations there and giving out information and advice on how to stay safe.
LiveWell will also be there providing free health checks.
When: Wed 16th Mar – 10.30am to 2.30pm
At: Sutton Europa Gallery, Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton

The charge for green garden waste collections for 2016 is:

1 x 140 litre bin | £44 | £54 |
2 x 240 litre bins | £84 | £94 |

The price for this year is for 19 collections (2015 was for 13 collections).
Collections will start on Easter Monday 28 March 2016 and finish on 17 December 2016.
Garden waste collections will continue to be fortnightly on the same day as our recycling collections.
Charity Gardeners Question Time in Wallington (19th Oct @ 7pm)

Please see attached a poster for Gardeners Question Time on Monday 19th October at Wallington Town Hall.
One of the speakers is Jim Buttress of telly’s Allotment Challenge.
He is very knowledgeable and very funny with it especially when he teams up with a colleague from London’s Royal Parks
Gardening and Humour – what could be better – well worth the money!
So please do come along and support our Chairman and her charity Mencap.
